Dr. Saif Al-Alsewaidi Appointed Secretary-General of ARID International University for Higher Studies

The General Secretariat of the Areed platform announced the appointment of Dr. Saif Al-Sewaidi as Secretary-General of Arid International University for Higher Studies. This appointment comes as recognition of Dr. Al-Sewaidi’s distinguished career, as he serves as the founder and CEO of the ARID Scientific Platform, which brings together Arabic-speaking scholars and researchers and promotes high-quality scientific research.

In his new role, Dr. Al-Sewaidi will oversee all university activities and lead efforts to ensure adherence to quality standards and continuous development in the administrative and academic departments. He will also manage the university's executive council, including calling members for meetings, preparing the agenda, and following up on the implementation of council decisions. Additionally, he will coordinate with department heads to ensure the execution of approved policies and decisions.

Dr. Al-Sewaidi’s responsibilities will include drafting and reviewing regulatory frameworks and overseeing financial affairs to ensure resources are directed toward achieving the university's strategic goals. He will also represent the university in international forums and conferences and lead development and innovation projects to enhance the university’s standing in scientific research and digital education.

Moreover, Dr. Al-Sewaidi will be responsible for forming the Board of Trustees and selecting the university president in consultation with the founding council, while monitoring the implementation of strategic plans to ensure the university meets its goals and progresses towards a bright future.
